Fieldwork is underway for the Fall semester.  This week Dr. Stacey Graham, Lydia Simpson (Programs Manager), and Ashley Brown (Fieldwork Coordinator) visited the Gallatin City Cemetery in Sumner County. Gallatin City Cemetery was officially founded in 1802, boasts a Mexican-American War Memorial, and is the final resting place for Governor William Trousdale.

Students this fall will be working on fieldwork projects in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Some of our partners this fall will include the National Park Service, City of Memphis, City of Chattanooga, Georgia State Historic Preservation Office, Army Corp of Engineers, and the Metro Historical Commission (Nashville). Follow us on Facebook for continuing project updates!
