DESCRIPTION:The East Tennessee Historical Society [http\://www.easttnhistory.org] will celebrate the region’s history in a big way in downtown Knoxville on Saturday\, August 7.  The public is invited to bring friends and family to join in the excitement of the Third Annual History Fair\, a fun and educational free event for all ages.\nThe 2010 History Fair activities will include a living history timeline and live traditional music from WDVX and the Clayton Country Music stage.   Hundreds of historical and genealogical groups from the region’s 35 counties will be represented\, including the Tennessee Civil War National Heritage Area [http\://www.tncivilwar.org].  There will be historical craft demonstrations\, storytelling\, a suffrage parade through downtown\, a farmers market\, children’s activities\, Davy Crockett’s birthday party\, trolley tours to downtown’s historic homes and cemetery\, and vintage movies.\n
