DESCRIPTION:This conference is designed is to bring the community together to help support and protect the farms and agribusinesses in Tennessee while not hindering economic growth. Discover how to make your farm or the farms in your community a lasting legacy. Farmers\, landowners and community leaders will have the opportunity to learn about protecting and growing today’s farms for tomorrow’s families and communities.\nThe conference will give farmers and community planners the opportunity to come together and discuss the many ways to preserve farmland for our future generations. Please encourage your local elected officials and planners to attend this conference to learn more about the value of agriculture in Tennessee and what can be done to ensure it’s future in your community and state.\nCentury Farmers [http\://www.tncenturyfarms.org] who participate in quilt trails\, including the Appalachian Quilt Trail. will be the special honorees at a luncheon on Friday.  Combining traditional farming practices with agritourism and heritage tourism\, these farm families support the quilt trails that wind through several counties. Special guest speaker for the luncheon will be Bythe Semmer of the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation in Washington\, D.C.
