Old Copper Road Preservation Alliance Receives Grant

The Center would like to congratulate our project partners at the Old Copper Road Preservation Alliance (ORCPA) for being awarded a Rural Development Grant by the Southeast Tennessee Development District. We’ve been working with the ORCPA to develop historical interpretation for heritage tourism, and the grant will facilitate the alliance’s ongoing work on this initiative. The Ocoee Whitewater Center in Cherokee National Forest is located near the Old Copper Road.
