Brandon is working on a survey and nomination project for historically black colleges and universities in Alabama. He is also working with the Julius Rosenwald Fund Archives at Fisk University, where he will complete his professional residency. His dissertation will focus on the role of academic libraries in the preservation, interpretation, and presentation of African American history and culture at historically black colleges and universities. Brandon’s research interests include nineteenth- and twentieth-century America, African American history, the history of higher education, academic librarianship, and historic preservation.
