A project completed by Center staff and students got renewed attention by local public radio prior to the Academy Awards ceremony. The Tennessee Green Book project sought to document statewide businesses featured in the segregation-era travel guide. Working with architectural historians in Nashville and Chattanooga, Dr. Susan Knowles, digital humanities fellow; Kelli Gibson, former graduate research assistant; Tiffany Momon, doctoral candidate; and Dr. Ginna Foster Cannon, former graduate research assistant, contributed to a poster and created a story map to share their research.
