Monuments Talk hosted by MTSU’s Albert Gore Research Center

On October 14 at 5 p.m. Central, the Albert Gore Research Center will present a conversation with Connor Towne O’Neill, author of Down Along With That Devil’s Bones: A Reckoning with Monuments, Memory and the Legacy of White Supremacy (Algonquin Books, September 2020). O’Neill will be joined by MTSU alumnus and current Ph.D. student at the University of Texas, Joshua Crutchfield, and Gore Center archivist Sarah Calise. They will discuss the legacy of Confederate monuments and symbols, including MTSU’s Forrest Hall.

The event is free and open to the public, and will be held on Zoom. Please register ahead of time at bit.ly/MonumentsTalk
