TPS-MTSU is partnering with TPS programs at Mars Hill University and the University of South Carolina for a multi-year fellowship program exploring the long civil rights movement. The Fellowship kicked off in September with our fellows meeting virtually for the first time. This fall, fellows are reading and discussing materials that focus on best practices for teaching about racism and anti-racism and how we approach difficult subject matters with students. The TPS-MTSU team and our partners will be sharing this work in a poster presentation at the National Council for the Social Studies virtual conference, which takes place the first weekend in December. The work of the fellowship will be shared more broadly at a regional conference in early 2022. Check back for more information on this event in a few months!
