Trail of Tears Educator Workshop

Teaching with Primary Sources–MTSU is partnering with the East Tennessee Historical Society to offer a virtual educator workshop on Thursday, June 24, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The workshop “Trail of Tears: A Comparative Look at the Experiences of Southeastern Tribal Nations” will explore how the Cherokee experience after the Indian Removal Act compared with other tribal nations, such as the Muscogee (Creek) and Seminole. Amy Kostine, the Center’s National Trails Program Coordinator, will join the workshop as a special guest speaker. This workshop is sponsored by Humanities Tennessee.
